Thank you for buying the Animan movies. Your support provides me with the time and resources to keep trying new things and push the boundaries even further.

If Country Club were already finished, I'd be happy to send it to you right now. But I'm still working on the last stages: fixing drawing mistakes that crept in, re-doing a few scenes that just aren't hot enough, composing and recording music, and adding voices. If I do these things well, it will be a satisfying experience for everyone.

You mentioned that my movies had helped you. I'd like to hear more about that, if you do not mind.

The short version of the story is that I was going thru a rough period in my life and whenever I would be feeling down, I would watch most if not all of your videos in one sitting and they would def bring me back to feeling better, my favorite 3 so far are Junior College, Lex Stern MD and GI Bananas. I like the other ones too it's just I watch those the most.
It's also great to see how far more advanced and detailed they have become. The trailer for the Country Club is amazing. Again your attention to detail is noticed (well at least by me).

Animan's Conclusion
I am overjoyed to learn that my movies helped to uplift someone who was feeling down. Troubles can come in all types and sizes, and they are a part of life. Being gay in a so-called "straight world" has always been a very stressful endeavor. At times, some of us almost begin to believe what "they" tell us--that we're unworthy, that we're bad, etc. As long as I (Animan) am around to make movies, I intend to portray us as good, happy, good-feeling and optimistic beings who are very worthy to be here.

Work in Progress "The Country Club"

Animan's newest film "The Country Club" will be finished by the end of March. These are a few of the main characters. First, there's the doctor. He's well-known by everyone at The Country Club, and is very popular with the ladies.

Here's the leader of the doctor's female fans, Betty.

And let's not forget the women in Betty's social group. Peaches is the one with the slim figure. Vivian is pleasingly plump, and Doris is a brooding brunette.

Julio is the Mexican gardener.

Paperback Book Art

In the '50's and '60's, paperback books were very popular. Their popularity was helped by the sometimes lurid cover art. As time went on, there was more and more nudity, and the art became more and more sexy. And some of the art was really strange!

Queer Duck

Here's a different sort of gay cartoon. Several episodes of Queer Duck could be seen on Icebox.com some years ago.  Now, there are only 2 episodes left, and if you're living in the "wrong" country like I am, then you cannot watch them! Oh joy. Country-discrimination!

The first episode can be seen on YouTube. Queer Duck sees his friends Oscar Wilde-cat and Bi-polar bear and his lover Billy Gay-tor, and announces that he's going to come out to his parents.

Then there was the Queer Duck Movie on DVD. Needless to say, I bought it! Although the humor is light-years away from Animan's World, it's still very entertaining.

One section of the movie is a song about Gay Baseball, which is also shown on YouTube. Enjoy!

I was amazed and thoroughly delighted! Here were photographs of men, and they all had Animan-sized posteriors! I knew that Photoshop could work miracles, but this is just astounding! Most of the pictures are very natural-looking and quite sexy! There's nothing wrong with giving "Father Nature" a helping hand...

Animan's Favorite Italian

Some time ago, Animan's World featured this photo of Rossano Brazzi, taken in the 1950's when he was filming "South Pacific" in Hawaii. 

Needless to say, the swimsuit is fabulous! I always assumed that the movie studio told Mr. Brazzi to wear this tiny suit for publicity reasons. I found this picture in an old Playboy magazine from the '60's in a series of articles about "Sex in CInema".

But the other day, I happened to find two other pictures of our Italian gentleman, wearing what appears to be the same little swimsuit.

The guy is hot, he knows it, and he lets the world get a good look. He's an Animan dude.

Another Goody from Old México

The other day, I came across this lobby card from a Mexican movie made in 1965. The character "Neutron" is Wolf Rubinskis, born in Latvia to Jewish parents. He became a naturalized Mexican citizen, and starred in many Mexican wrestling movies.
This photograph has all the elements of an Animan adventure. It's the mid-1960's. Here we are in sunny México, in an expensive apartment, with a beautiful view of the cityscape from the window. Two good-looking gentlemen are seated in the stylish living room, and cannot take their eyes from the half-naked body of the third man, who is standing. The men want him to get drunk and remove his trunks, so they're giving him brandy. Soon, all of them will be naked, and the fun will begin. Even the music will be supplied by "The Gay Crooners"! Caramba Amigos, it will surely become a very hot and interesting afternoon in old México!

Back to School for Animan

Animan is always studying how to make his videos better. Recently on Ebay, I found an old set of textbooks from the 1950's Famous Artists Course at a very reasonable price, so I bought them. The books are filled with fantastic illustrations and paintings created by many famous American artists and illustrators, such as Norman Rockwell. Techniques for good composition, shadows, lighting and balance are explained in great detail. I already know some of these things, but there are others that I don't know.I have a lot to learn!

One unexpected surprise in this course was these photographs. Nice Daddy! This is a real Animan-type of man! My only complaint? It's not in color!

Narration—During intercourse, the penis is in a state of erection. This is caused by the spongy tissue of the penis becoming engorged with blood. The sperm passes up through the ducts, where fluids from the glands are added to form the semen. The semen then flows through the urethral canal and is deposited into the male vagina. Here, we can see this fertilization in closer view.

Fokker—Hey! Not bad! You really poured it on! Say, it’s about time.

Gary—Hey, could we go on with this tomorrow?

Animan is Recovering Nicely

Exactly one week ago today, I woke up feeling terrible. I thought it was just a cold, but it was influenza! My nose was running like a river and I was coughing all day and night. Once I even coughed some blood! Needless to say, I didn't have the stamina to sit at my computer all day and evening making animation. I had to stay in bed.  
Today, Animan is feeling much better, so it's back to work!

My newest film is taking a long time to produce. Why? 
1) It's in wide-screen (more space to fill with drawings)
2) Shadows on the characters  (it's double the number of drawings)

Here are some screen shots for you to see. Our main character is a silver-haired doctor (again!) who is a big star at the Country Club. The other two guys are Mike (blue shirt) and Spencer (red shirt). 

Animan wants to make this film as beautiful as possible. So, I'm working super hard !

Back when I was making Nooky Man, I created an original character with a shaved head. I included him again in my "All Stars" video as, "the Barbecue Guy". 

I was amazed the other day, when I received a message from a fellow who said that he looks like this character. He sent me his photo, and yes he does, except he has no beard! He will be doing the voice for Spencer in the Country Club video.

Right now, this Barbecue Dude is living in Alaska and will be moving to Colorado in May of this year. If you'd like to contact him, just send your data to Animan at this blog, and I'll make sure he gets it. Your privacy will be respected, and your data will remain secret.

The Joy of Belasco

I first knew of Belasco when he sent in a comment to Animan's World. I checked out his blog, and found plenty of pictures of his hunky sculptures as well as his drawings which are sleek, smooth, and sexy. 

When I visited his blog recently, I found a large group of animated GIFs done by Belasco, and they're great! They explode with erotic energy and male power. Belasco obviously has quite a flair for animation, and he does it with style. By all means, have a look!

More Retro Eye-Candy

There's nothing like a dip in a real cool pool. (Animan just goes wild for retro pools!) Some guys like the poolside gals. Animan prefers poolside guys, with some muscle and plenty of body hair, and wearing itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny posing trunks.

And what better place to hang out with one's guy than in this marvy pad? With a few adjustments of course--lose the doll carriage, deep-six the tricycle, and Mom's knitting stuff can go take a hike. Replace the teddy bear with a real-live Bear or Bear Cub. Enjoy a humongous turkey from the rotisserie, and finally, make out in front of that real (not fake) fireplace. Weekends were never better!

And finally, speaking of Armstrong floors, Animan just COULDN'T forget this!

Cool Retro Record Art

When I was little, I enjoyed going to my aunt and uncle's house. My uncle loved music, and had all these really old records. Most of them were 45's, with the big hole in the middle, and they were in boxes! What I liked most about them was the post-war art on the lid. It was very flat-looking, and sometimes had an almost Picasso-like, European quality.

There were only a few colors, and the design was always funky. I found that Andre Kostelanetz records had the best jacket art. So last night, I went on Ebay, input his name, and voilà! I thought I'd share these unusual pictures with Animan's friends. Who knows? Someday I may make a cartoon in the style of one of these jackets....

Trouble Buying Animan Videos

Occasionally, buyers of Animan videos send me a message, and sometimes, it's about how they haven't been able to buy or download the pay videos.  I have informed the staff at the Selz site about it as much as possible (without nagging them to death).

I received some information that might begin to help solve the problem.

Here is the letter I just sent to the Selz site:

My thanks to the Selz staff for their hard work over the past year, and the lovely Christmas card!

As you know, I have been blessed with many sales. Unfortunately, I still continue to hear from buyers who clicked the "download" button in my shop and got a "processing" message that never ended and nothing more.  I've been hesitant to mention these unfortunate instances to the Selz staff, because I think it's of little use for me to merely offer complaints unless I have some solutions to accompany them.

Just now, I received a buyer's message, which might shed some light on a way of making things better:

"I love your animations! I tried purchasing on several occasions but was unable to. I switched browsers from Firefox to Chrome and was able to purchase and download all of the files. Previously, the only ones I was able to 'purchase' were the free ones..."

I remember several years ago, trying to submit a clip to an animation contest using Safari as my browser, and it failed 10 times out of 10. Someone suggested that I change my browser to Firefox, and it worked like magic. I know from experience now that browser incompatibility is a reality, and it dawned on me that this could be happening at my shop.
So, I hope this information will help to iron out the problems buyers occasionally experience at the Selz site, not only in my store, but those of all the Selz merchants.
