Camp Animatic

I found this on my computer--and I thought I'd share it with you. For one section of the camp video, I made this 'animatic', to sort of get an idea of how it would look. Basically, it's just like a comic strip, with so many seconds for each shot. This helps me predict the timing and dialogue, and acts as a blueprint for the animation. 

This scene had a lot of stuff going on--the dialogue among the three guys, the business about the soiled undies, and then taking turns, and all that. I wanted to make sure I got the right mood. So, I made this animatic, which is pretty close to the finished animation, except for the ending. I didn't like this ending, because Freddy was getting kind of lovey-dovey with Larry, and the lightheartedness was becoming serious.  

Some animatics are made to see the pictures with the soundtrack--but when I made this, there was no dialogue or music recorded. So, it's silent with the words written in.

Now that the camp video is finished, I have to start from scratch on the next one. It's going to be several months before the next video is ready, but I promise that it'll be worth the wait!

While netsurfing for porn, I came upon a clip which someone had filmed at a nude beach somewhere. It looked like Thailand, but I'm not sure. There was a caucasian couple on a blanket, and the man was lying on the woman, and he was pretty excited. She could see they were being filmed and was trying to get him to stop, but he was getting hornier by the moment. The clip ended after about 30 seconds. I wonder how far they went? 

That clip has since been taken off, but I thought, " "Wouldn't it be nice if Coach Ben went to the nude beach and just made a present of himself to all the horny men there?"  The background with the beach hut and the red and white umbrellas was inspired from the video mentioned above. 

Coach Ben seems to be pretty popular around here, and so I asked him to star in this video. He loved the idea, and serviced all his paramours admirably. The big guy said that when he got home that night, he had the best sleep ever!

Animan's World Interviews Johnny Davis, Dick Long, and Herbie Watson

AW--Welcome back for Part 3 in our interview with the stars of Animan's upcoming video "Junior College Men's Camp". OK, Johnny Davis--what are your thoughts and feelings about this video?

J--This is my first animated video, and I'm really proud to have been a part of it. All the guys are just great to work with, and they're all hot! We had a great time making this! It was the right vehicle at the right time, and I was pretty lucky to be there.

AW--What about you, Dick?

D--Oh like wow, Dude--it was pretty far out--the only time I was wearing any clothes was in my first scene, man. The rest of the time I was nekkid, but it was cool, y' know? Lots of sexy studs around me all the time--I got like pretty excited, and I had to be careful to save it for the flick! Wanted to get off all the time!

AW--Herbie Watson! Tell us about your part.

H--Well, I'm the nerd from school. I clip pens on my shirt pocket, and I'm sort of the weakling in the group. Here are all these big, buff men, and then here comes Herbie, the weak little dork.

AW--Well as I understand it, you were the only one of the college boys who never bottomed!  How was that decided?

H--Uh, most people would instantly expect the little, weak, dorky guy to be the one to always get hammered by the big boys, which is pretty much what most gay porn these days offers. And, then there's Animan, who is thinks it's time to turn the tables on that old stereotype. What was that he said, Johnny?

J--Animan said that "tops and bottoms come in all ages and sizes".

D--Absolutely, man! I mean like, who'd expect the little guy to nail the big boys? You hardly ever see that--but it happens in real life, all the time, like!  But go see some gay porn, and like, it's always the same pattern. Big guy plows little guy. It's yawns-ville, man, like what a drag!

AW--How do you feel about that, Herbie?

H--Oh yeah, it's uh, definitely a change from the same old stuff, right?  And it was great for me, because I got to plow all these hot studs like Johnny and Dick, ,and uh, Lorenzo….uh I mean, Larry!  I was always in one or the other!  And I got paid for it, too!  But I really like Animan's idea about making it more real, with more diversity. I think there's a grain of truth in all stereotypes, but they get boring real quick.

AW--The fans are anxiously awaiting the finished video. So when can we get to see it?

J--We're still redoing some of the last scenes. Animan is such a stickler for making it just right--he said, "I think about what I would like to see in a video, and how I'd like to see it--and then I do my best to make it. I think real hard about the things that get a guy off, what do they look and sound like? You gotta tickle the viewer's mind over and over till he blows!"

AW--So there is a philosophy behind it?

D--Yeah….it's like when you're fantasizing, you think of all these sexy things--but you don't always see and hear 'em… but in the vids, Animan tries to make it visible and audible, too.  Awwwright!

AW--Is there a premier date for the video?

H--Either the end of March of the beginning of April. That's just a window of a few days. When it's out, the trailer will be on GayTube in the Dads-Mature section.

AW--And we'll be announcing it here on the blog before that, but it's still pretty hush-hush.

Animan's World Interviews Rob, Pat & Animan

AW--Today's guests are Rob Medlin, Pat Marks, and the director, Animan.  Rob and Pat play the college men who come to camp in this no-holds-barred sexual fantasy video.

R--That's right. There are four of us: Freddy, Pat, Herbie and me, and we all come to camp on the same bus.

AW--Tell me Pat, what sort of characters do you guys play?

P--Well, I play the most easygoing of the 4 guys. Also, I don't know very much about what's going on!  Rob's character is skeptical at first, but finally breaks down and joins in the fun.

AW--And the fans and I are just dying to find out--Rob, there's a scene where you grab a pair of Larry's soiled underpants and smell them--then Freddy does the same with Larry's dirty jockstrap!  Were those just props, or  did they actually belong to somebody?

R--(laughing nervously) Am I allowed to say this? Animan?

A--The story must be told; both of those were Larry's actual undies. When he first read about it in the script, he just assumed we'd use props--but I wanted reality in this video. I asked Larry if he'd provide the dirty panties and jockstrap. At first, he freaked out a bit, and said, "This is kind of embarrassing"!  But Larry is a wonderful guy--he finally said "yes"! And he got them just dirty enough without grossing everyone out.

AW-Wow….and Rob, did you have any objections to sniffing Larry's smelly underpants?

R--No, no…none whatsoever. Larry's a hot guy--and when I smelled them I got hard!  I couldn't believe it!

A--And Freddy got just as hard when he smelled the jockstrap...

P--Like a ramrod! Which was perfect, because right after that he had to mount Larry…

AW--So, where did the idea of the dirty jock come from?

A--In my high school gym class, I was discussing something with my coach in his office. Another coach was there. Then, a boy brought in a dirty jockstrap, handed it to his coach and said, "I found this on the floor". The jock was really dirty--it had some yellow and brown stains on it. The coach held it up and showed it to the other coach, especially the brown stains, and said, "and it still has the hash marks on it!" And the other coach said, "You mean, the hash browns!"  That's a true story.

R--(laugh)

P--(laughing) I've already heard that story a dozen times, and it always cracks me up! (laughing)

AW--So did you ask Larry to put all these different stains on it?

A--I just said "a little of this, and a little of that"!

R--(laughing)

P--Nasteee! (laugh)

AW--I wanted to ask Animan about the language used in this video--do you think the obscene language isn't maybe a little over-the-top? Or is this just Animan's normal type of talking?

A--No, not at all. A lot of young men talk that way nowadays, and I wanted that reckless sort of youthful swearing.

AW--So, this isn't a "retro"-style video? I mean, your videos usually have a 1950's or '60's feel to them. When does this camp story take place?

A--I decided to leave it vague--it might have a slightly old feel to it, but that's all. Usually the visuals that date a cartoon are the design of the cars, the furniture, or women's hairstyles, or their clothes--and those are elements that never appear in this video. This video isn't so much a retro-piece as it is a video about a bunch of horny guys at camp doing their thing.

AW--So uh, Pat, how did you like starring in this video?

P--Well, I don't think a cartoon like this has ever been made before--and in that way, I think I'm really lucky to be in it! Plus I got a chance to make it with a lot of hot men!  I thinks it's going to be a hit!

AW--What about you, Rob?

R--Well, there's a lot of sex and a lot of nasty talk in this video, but it's all done in a spirit of fun. I really had a great time playing the guy who goes from "skeptical prude" to "nasty dude"!  I think the video goes along at a good pace.  Animan knew exactly what he wanted, and made sure everything got put in.

AW--Animan, is there anything you'd like to add?

A--Many things in this video came from suggestions made by the fans, and I think they make for a good video experience. I hope I can keep doing that in future projects.

Problems in Downloading

Thanks to all of you for buying the Big Beach download. In the beginning, I was only sending links for mov. files, (Apple platform).  I never thought that some computers (Windows platform) couldn't handle a mov. file. Just then, disaster struck.  A gentleman told me that he couldn't find the right place on the screen to click, and he clicked a link for some other software which downloaded like wildfire. What a mess! 

So, I instantly sent him the WMV version, but it wouldn't work. In his frustration, he gave up and went to "get a drink".  I felt terrible and didn't sleep a wink that night.

When I went to my computer in the morning, his email said that he tried it again, and it was downloading and opening just fine. My prayers had been answered!

The first gentleman has been nice enough to write me some information about his experience, and sent me a screen shot showing where to click (see the picture above). 

"I decided to try downloading the Beach Movie to see what would happen on the email you sent with syphix file?

Hit the blue bar / tool bar open on the bottom of screen saying play or save.  Hit save took 49 mins, and then put a mass storage device in the USB port and lt took 25 seconds from my computer to it.

I also took my mouse and ran it over the other bars saying play/download, and at the bottom of screen it says what you are going to download. 

So when you run it over the blue bar it says sendspace and shows Beach.mov.  So the sendspace page has many things that can be downloaded, and that is why some of us had trouble.  Now I know their site page and no troubles.  I have my computer hard wired to the cable company so did not use the wireless connection."

Animan's World Interviews Larry and Freddy

AW--We're talking today with Larry Costa and Fred Ruiz, stars in Animan's newest video "Junior College Men's Camp".

So guys, so how does it feel to be in Animan's first "talking" cartoon?

F--It's kind of exhilarating! A new experience… a challenge!

L--Yeah… I mean, I was in "Coach Ben's Big Beach Adventure" but they used another guy's voice for mine--I didn't  have any lines, just a lot of grunts and groans.  But this time, they actually used my voice, which was kinda nice. I kept thinking, "Is that how I sound?"

F--Well you were using your natural voice! I had to play Freddy, this kid who's 22, but sounds like his voice is still changing! Honestly, do you think a guy as hairy as I would have a hormone-starved, high, squeaky voice like that?  But they needed that for contrast, so we did it. Came out ok.

AW--Obviously, in this new video, there seems to be some chemistry going on between you two!

L--(laugh)

F--Yeah, Oh, you noticed! I hope it made the video hot. I was definitely aware of something happening. I really started to get into it, and Larry just sort of pulled me in--I totally forgot about the cameras and just got on with it!

L--That's funny that you mentioned that, because I remember that first scene in the shower room--we were on that hard, wet floor, and Fred was giving it to me, and at first, all I could think of, were things like, "I hope this floor isn't hurting his knees! Maybe I should raise my butt a little higher? What if we slip?", and like, stuff like that. Next thing I know, we're like fused into this one mountain of manflesh, and I was really in the moment! I really and truly wanted that cock in me!

F--(laugh) I have to say, that message came through loud and clear! And we had several scenes together where we "do it", and Larry really played the slut!

AW--You say "do it" instead of "fuck"--that's very interesting, especially considering all the foul language you ended up using in this video!

F--Well, people are going to see and hear this, and get the impression that I go around swearing all the time, but the truth is, I don't.  I mean, at home, we never used the "f" word or even the "s" word. It took me a while to get where I could spout off a riff of obscenities for this movie, especially during sex with Larry!  

L--But it works, you know? I mean, however much I was enjoying it, Fred's nasty words really made it rawl! I found myself really getting turned on.

AW--So you like that kind of talk?

L--Yeah, I guess I do…And it makes the video much better…I mean, if you can't talk dirty during sex, then when can you, you know?

F--I agree!  And I don't think I've ever seen a cartoon with this much foul language in it--it'll be interesting.

AW--And the director, Animan---does he talk like that?

F--Not that I ever heard.

L--I don't think he does--he's not that kind of guy, really.  Of course, I never had sex with him!

F--(laugh) Well, I've seen how he looks at you--it could happen! Watch out for your ass, Larry!

AW--Let's talk about your co-stars, Dick Long and Johnny Davis. This is their debut as well, isn't it?

F--It is--they're the most professional porn actors I ever met. Johnny is such a kindhearted soul, and yet so hot! He really plays the part convincingly. I learned a lot just by watching him act. You know, you see a lot of actors who are trying too hard--he doesn't do that. So-o-o-o-o natural! And so appealing…

L--He is, he is--one of the nicest dudes I've ever known. His part isn't all that big, but the few scenes he has, he really plays them sincerely.  I'd like to see him in another Animan movie with more scenes. Hot dude! 

AW--And Dick Long?

F--Yeah, and that IS his real name! The perfect name for a porn actor!  And that surfer accent--that's the way he really talks!

L--Yeah! At first Fred and I thought he was putting us on, but that's the way he talks. I expected a surfer to have a darker tan…

F--Well, he hasn't been surfing for a while, he said. That guy is so laid back, when he was on the set, nobody could possibly be nervous.  Dick and I like to hang out together, shopping and lunch.

AW--Lastly, the fans are dying to know---is there a relationship between Larry and Freddy in real life?

L--Well…. uh,  I think it's still a little early to say--Fred and I have had some great times together, and I really enjoy spending time with him...

F--In and out of the sack!  Larry has so much sexual energy that I get swept up in it.  We'll have to see, though--I don't know if I want a committed relationship yet, but it's awfully tempting!

L--My feelings exactly!

AW--One more tidbit for the fans: Fred--are you a top or bottom man?

F--I'd say in real life, I'm 70% top and 30% bottom. How 'bout you, Larry?

L--35% top and 65% bottom!  (laugh)
