Super Interesting Homes in Lisbon

When I left "Mesa do Barrio" with my friends, the sun was just about to begin setting. We walked through the area surrounding the restaurant, and I was amazed at the houses in that area. I didn't have my iPad with me to take pictures, so I went back the next day, during the afternoon.
One thing I especially noticed was the different colors of the homes. Such hues as strawberry pink, peppermint blue, and cafe latte beige were some of them.
In any case, I have never seen such houses in my life, but I really enjoyed taking a good look at these! I wonder what they look like inside....

  2. What you have seen are the houses of the old Lisbon, (the walls are made of the rock inside, that's why they still hold so much so many years later and of course we have to maintain also to keep it clean)

    1. Wow--I didn't know about the rock foundation.
I remember seeing a TV program about Portuguese people who live on hillsides in the country, with the houses built right into huge boulders!

    1. If this is where your grandmother lives, then she's very lucky indeed!

    2. Hey Marco--my last 2 e-mails to you have bounced back. I think you need to make some more space in your e-mail box by throwing some stuff out. I also tried sending an e-mail to your hotmail address.

  7. These houses look like the tastiest of ice creams!! Hey, Animan, what if you featured such a neighborhood in a movie? Your camera shot could start the scene high above the street block and sweepingly pan down to the facades of the townhouses. The camera then "pierces" through the front door, sweeps upstairs to that cute balcony where a middle-aged, sexy Portuguese
hubby is laying out suntanning his oily beefy muscles on a chaise lounger, wearing a canary yellow speedo. Suddenly, he hears the door bell ring. He ignores it, but then he remembers the Misses is out at the market this afternoon. He puts on a plush, short terry cloth bath robe and heads to the front door. Oh my god, Animan!! What happens next? LOL!
