Jack LaLanne was an American fitness, exercise and nutrional expert who is sometimes called "the godfather of fitness" and "the first fitness superhero".
I found some other photographs of Jack LaLanne, which will probably be of interest to fans of Animan's World. These are his physique photos, probably taken during the 1950's. They are beautiful!
Perhaps he is best-known for his early morning excercise programs which started in the early 1960's. Some of them can be seen on YouTube. He makes the program fun and he keeps it interesting. The most impressive thing about him is his enthusiasm and positive outlook. Here's the first show on YouTube:

I can’t believe that I never noticed your name at the end of “Man’s Best Friend”. I have been interested in animation since I was a kid and I share your inspirations, Disney and Hanna-Barbera, so this year when I was laid off from my toy designer position with a major toy company after 15 years, I decided that I wanted to do my own thing and revisit the world of animation. I wrote a story, created characters and now I want to start animating them. I have a friend who animates the web cartoon, “Airhead” for HITS magazine who has promised to mentor me along. I’ve poured over every single page of your blog since 2012. You are an inspiration to me and I hope that someday, when I get some skills, I can assist you in creating one of your videos. When I was a boy, I saw Jack LaLanne exercising on the TV. I always dreamed about how such a beautiful man would look, nude. Now I no longer have to wonder---we have these photographs, and he's spectacular! Dreams DO come true :)

ReplyDeleteWell Alex, many fans have asked for me to do something with an ancient Greek theme. To do it properly, I need to research the look of the characters and the place. My research books just arrived yesterday, so I'm beginning the plans.

DeleteBrainstorming is good. It's cool. Whatever topic I make my Greek Mythology movie about, I know that it won't cover all the stories everyone knows and loves. But it can be the first in a series.
