Here we have a full picture of Harvey's living room. It's a comfortable place. You can relax on the sofa and read a magazine, enjoy a game of cards at the dining table, survey the night time city lights from the windows, read a book in the corner, or stretch out on some cushions on the floor while you play a record on the stereo. Let's see....how else could a group of guys use this room?

Hi Animan, I've often wondered how sturdy the legs on this type of furniture are if you've got a couple of beefy guys bouncy about on it, I'd love to see Dave giving Hal one over the stereo, and making the record jump, would be a challenge to you with the sound effects too.
ReplyDeleteDon't tease us too much. David
That modern furniture must have been strong, because nowadays, everybody says "They don't make furniture like they used to!"
ReplyDeleteDoing it on the stereo? Hmmmm....Have you ever heard a needle skate across a record? It ain't pritty!
I'll make sure everybody has a rip-snortin' time. The bar might be a good place for a romp, what with all those bottles!
I ♥♥♥ the setting, Animan! It reminds me of the Jetsons home, but, on a more realistic scale. I ♥♥♥ mid-century modern and can't wait to see what actions transpire among these settings.
ReplyDeleteHi! Mid-century design just fascinates me. The early '50's cowboy TV shows influenced home interiors, with lots of wood and stone. The late '50's space age trend gave us cars with rocket-style fins, wall clocks that looked like satellites, and furniture with high legs, to let more light into the room. Mid-Century design. Luv it!! ♥︎♥︎♥︎
Deletemmm Me Neither ;)
DeleteLove those mid-century barbecue designs :^)
DeleteNice layout, Animan. So many possibilities for fun here: the couch, the card table, the chair in the back corner, the bar, the end tables, even those extra cushions on the floor were probably left there on purpose! Hope they do something about those curtains, lest all the surrounding buildings get to see what's going on...unless that's also on purpose, Animan?
ReplyDeleteheheheh.....
What?! CLOSE the curtains? Animan has a motto: "Anybody who snoops deserves what they find!" In the case of this penthouse, I just ask myself: "What would Junior do?"--and he just doesn't seem like a curtain-closer to me.
DeleteAccording to my sources, cushions on the floor (usually in a corner) were often found in 1960's décor. I never knew why until now!
Any idea when we'll be getting the trailer?
ReplyDeleteIt won't be for several weeks. Thanks for your patience!
DeleteHey Animan, have you considered releasing your videos as MP4s instead of either WMVs or MOVs? I think it would be a really good idea, as MP4s seem to be a widely used format these days, and it seems to be compatible with most if not all devices.
ReplyDeleteYou could do it using something like Miro Video Converter. It's a free program capable of converting videos into MP4s. I've just finished converting all of the videos i've bought from you into MP4s using it, and they're now all less than half the filesize while still looking the exact same! For example, the Country Club one used to be 262mb, but now it's only 91.9mb. All your videos together used to be nearly 3gb, but now it's only 776mb (barely a single gb). :)
Thanks for the good advice! It's always a little difficult to know whose computer can play what these days, so that has always been a concern. Keeping the file size down while maintaining quality is definitely what we want. I'll check out the software you mentioned. Thanks again!!
Deleteaniman hey, I really like the animation you made ...
ReplyDeleteand I've seen a few tutorials you made, I also want to try to make animation but with a different style ...
what can you make a tutorial how how to create a scene to another scene, how to set the time and change the fomat video to wmv / mov in toonboom
sorry for my english less fluent
Hi! I will make a tutorial soon to answer your questions. I will announce it on this blog, perhaps in 2 or 3 days.
DeleteBut, I can answer one of your questions here.
Question: How to Change Video Format to WMV/MOV in ToonBoom
Answer: When you export animation to a movie, it automatically creates an MOV file, by default. To convert it to WMV, you need some different software. (I use a Mac computer, and I have Quicktime Pro with the ability to convert a MOV file to WMV.) Everybody has their own particular way.
I have a question for you: when you say "How to set the time", do you mean the speed (frames per second)? I'm not quite sure what you mean. Please be sure to tell me.
And, your English is just fine! No problem.
Animan
Thank you, I'll wait tutorial from you ...
Deleteyes I am a little confused with the set speed, especially when moving the character's body parts ...
so it looks smooth movement
I see now! What you are talking about is "ease in" and "ease out". I made another long tutorial last year, and I'm not sure, but I think near the end of the video, I showed a character moving his head up and down, and I used the "ease in" and "ease out". Please download it and see how I did it.
DeletePlease remember--when you go to the Sendspace page to download, click the LIGHT BLUE BOX that says "Click here to start download from Sendspace". Don't click other places.
---Animan
I'm sorry! I forgot to give you the link for the tutorial.

I hope we get to see Harvey and harvey Jr. together ;)
Wow, that's great to know!
DeleteA bunch of guys in a room together, including Harvey and Junior---something is bound to happen :)))
Is that a panorama shot of the room or a 360°, laid out view?
ReplyDeleteNeither. It's a 180°, laid out view.
DeleteSOOOOOOO many things to bend a nice pair of CaKes over to bury my face in before the Pumping commences haha
ReplyDeleteAhhh the joys of furniture!
