Here are two more characters from the Super Hero video. Nice dudes, but they've only got one thing on their minds.
You can see here that I'm outlining the characters in different colors, as I did in Carmen. It really improves the look of the drawings, but wow, it takes longer to do! Yesterday I spent over 5 hours doing a scene that only lasts 6 seconds. I'd say that on average, it takes Animan about one hour of drawing to produce one second of finished animation. That means at least 60 hours of drawing per minute!
In the olden days before computers, if you drew some animation and filmed it, but it needed changing, you'd have to go in and probably re-draw the whole stack of drawings! With a computer, it's easy to go back and tweak things without uprooting the whole project. Animan always keeps going back to check and re-check, making sure characters look right, and that things make sense. Easy or not, the huge amount of drawings still makes it a bit tedious.

wow I can imagine such animation frustration! I one day want to try animation too
ReplyDeleteSo far this cartoon looks like it will be very nice!
I can't wait to buy it when it's available
Making an animated video is like writing a symphony with pictures. Music has melody, counterpoint, and orchestration. In animation, that translates into movement of the main characters, the background characters, and the different colors. It has to start slowly, build up and hesitate a moment, and then build up bigger and bigger to the climax!
DeleteMaking animation is hard work. Sometimes, I imagine something, and I succeed in drawing it exactly as I imagined. That's when animation is really fun!!! I hope you will try animation and experience that fun.
Thank you for your nice comments about this cartoon. I am doing my very best to make sure it is worth your money : )
All your fans acknowledge the diligence, dedication, & pride that you take in your work which is what makes your projects one of a kind and why we're so eager for the next, new installment you've created. Your hard work DOES pay off.
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!
DeleteAniman, your the consummate Artist!! you are very good at what you do and your work shows it!
ReplyDeleteThats why we are eager and anxious to view your work!
Your comment makes me very VERY happy! ^_^
DeleteReally appreciate the hard work and imagination you put into your drawing, the fantasies they show are wilder and more exciting than any porn!
ReplyDeleteAnd I appreciate your taking the time to write to me! I like to think that Animan and his friends are all pretty much on the same wavelength, and I feel that from your message!
DeleteSo I really appreciated your inclusiveness of characters but I want to know if and when you have black characters in your videos if they will have the same cock sizes as the others or if they will not be attached to innercity/hood sterotypes?
ReplyDeleteAs a young black guy that would be totally refreshing and new to see as I never see that anywhere else!
Good question! I think the black characters I drew so far were pretty well hung--I suppose I could make their equipment smaller--but I think bigger is what most guys would like to see. I'm not really that fond of inner city/hood types for animation, because they're such a narrow stereotype--but they ended up in Nooky Man because the idea meshed so well with the cityscape. I promise that the next time you see black characters in an Animan film (don't know exactly just when, but you will), I promise they won't be street toughs.
