Here's a frame from Animan's next video, "Super Hero". Of course, that's not his REAL name. It will be revealed when the time is right. The animation for the first 1/3 of this video is done, so everything is going fine (after a very slow start).
Animan's friends deserve to know what's happening, and I want to share that on this blog. At the same time, I don't want to give so much away that it spoils the surprise. That's Animan's dilemma! I promise more sneak pictures as I continue working on the video.
These two comments came to me through my e-mail address from the same friend:
1) Wow, looks like I'm going to fall in love again with the upcoming production. You always give me this feeling of anxiousness for the next installment. Tell me, about how long is this project going to be; like, 14min long? Keep up the momentum on this, I’m ready to buy already!
XOXO. . .
Animan says: "This is just the way I want you to feel! Anticipation! It builds up the emotion. Animan wants the final product to be just as good as what you imagined, if not more! Yes, it will be 14 minutes of wild and crazy fun."
2) no comment? That's strange...
Animan says: "Please feel free to send your comments to the comments area on the blog--they're so good, that I want EVERYBODY to read them!"
Here's another comment that came through to my e-mail address which I'll address here:
you’re not checking your blog site to update the comments?
Actually, every comment coming into my blog also comes into my e-mail box, so I'm always aware of each and every comment which cums in. If the comment is something like, "How long does it take to make a video?" Then I can give a concrete answer, such as "It varies, but usually between 2 and 3 months". But if the comment is something like, "I love Animan videos!", then for me to write something like, "Thank you, my good man!" might make me sound conceited. A more usual Animan-style response is for me to read the comment, and just silently bask in the love that inspired it, and say a silent prayer of thanks to the one who was kind enough to send it. In any case, each and every comment gets read, and whenever possible, answered. Also please bear in mind that Animan lives in Asia, and a lot of comments or video orders are sent to me right after I've gone to bed, so there will always be a time-lag. :-)

exciting!
ReplyDeleteI'm doing my best to make sure that all of it is exciting!
DeleteI think you videos are amazing. There is such a great interested in this type of quality animated video.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind words. I consider myself very lucky that so many friends enjoy my videos.
Deleteomg im already getting turned on imagining that superhero dude getting screwed over and over! ...if thats what even happens lol im getting ahead of myself! but so excited to see what coming up!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI promise that you won't be disappointed!
DeleteThose special FX you started using since Carmen are awesome, all the different layers seem to blend really smoothly. That's impressive!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work! Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for your latest video :-P
Thanks for the encouragement! My animation software has the ability to produce FX that can look truly magical. My problem is learning how to achieve them!
DeleteKeep reading this blog--there will be more news soon about this new video!
I definitely know I'm gonna ♥ this, Animan. The urban scenery and signature, hunky characters will get me tingling all over. I'm thinking it might be an all-male version of "Superman & Lois". Perhaps, "SuperStud & Louis"? LOL! It's not impossible...
ReplyDeletePlease create an Asian & Latino couple in it. PLEASE!!! ☺ You know you can do it! Thank you...
You're always very supportive--thanks so very much. I spend so much time drawing all these things, that after hours and hours, I sort of lose the "tingle", and start to wonder if it's still there! So I'm always happy to hear that somebody is "tingling" when they see my drawings!
DeleteYour requests have been heard and will definitely be answered!
OOOH! I could see this as a series! Is there a sexy villain involved? The possiblities could be endless! I'll be sure to tune in same-sex time, same-sex channel! Pun intended. lol!
ReplyDeleteThe villains in this video are just a little bit mean-spirited. I decided to make the story part minimal so that I could maximize the scenes where everyone is "gettin' jiggy"! But this super hero idea would absolutely work as a series! Thanks for pointing that out!
Deletehahahaha
DeleteI love this comment of yours, animan
anyway I could help you with promotion?
I can make you a poster if you'd like we just need to work together
I have a lot of art skills and photoshop skills
Thank you for offering to help with the promotional aspect. The video is not yet to the halfway mark--I am still deciding what to put in it, how the story will go, and how it will finish. Usually when I get all these points figured out, the video is about 7/10 done. So, when I reach that point, we can start work on the poster. Please send me an e-mail, so I'll be able to notify you. And thanks!
Deleteohhhh man!!! look at those "Super Hero Nalgas" !!!!! I'm already anxious for some Super Buttocks humping, jiggling and bouncing when "Super Hero" gets to do his thing!!! yay!!!
ReplyDeleteawesome work Animan!! you really know how to get us all worked up!! LOL
I'll remember to get plenty of "jiggle and bounce" once things start jumpin'!
Deleteyou REJECTED my comment... lol whatever!
ReplyDeleteIf I did, I'm very sorry. I'm glad you brought it to my attention. The only reasons I can think of for your comment getting rejected are these:
Delete1) I use a different email address to sign into this blog than I do for my YouTube account. When I'm signed into one, I can't access the other. Sometimes someone sends me a comment for the blog, I click "publish", and then I get a message saying it failed. Then I have to go back to YouTube and sign out! Then I come back, and publish the comment again, successfully. If the phone rings (or some other distraction happens) during this process, I may get sidetracked, and lose track of whether it got published or not.
2) When I wake up very early in the morning, bleary-eyed, I always check my e-mail. If there's a blog comment to publish, I do it on my iPod. There's a 1mm distance between "Publish" and "Reject", and my fingertip is a little big to get it just right sometimes, especially when I'm dazed with sleep. I may have pressed the wrong word and didn't know it.
I realize that there are bloggers out there who take a fiendish delight in exercising their power; publish this, reject that, etc. The only way I'd reject a comment would be if it A) contained an e-mail address, or B) was written in a way that would bring the other readers down.
Animan's World is all about the cartoon-making process, not about the blog comment rejection process.
Animan can you please do some more dad/son animations
ReplyDeletemore of the dad being the bottom though xD
I love all your animations!
You bet I am going to collect this video too
can you please let me know anything on this subject :)
thank you
I have a wonderful idea for a dad/son video as you have mentioned--and I hope to do it soon! I have already written down some ideas for it, and I think it would be pretty hot!
DeleteJust as fast as my little hands can draw it! = D
