The Endless Winter

Where's I'm living, it's still winter, and it's nice and cold. And the news tells me that there's plenty of cold in the U.S. That's when it's nice to have a fireplace, to warm up the chills.

Speaking of fireplaces, here's an interesting picture I found. This is obviously a painting of the movie star Cary Grant. I like the modern style in which it's painted. And having him stand naked in front of a blazing fire is very cozy. It sort of makes the imagination run wild. Enjoy!

  1. FYI, that painting is by Kurt Kauper. You might like some of his other work, too: http://www.advocate.com/arts-entertainment/art/2011/07/16/artist-spotlight-kurt-kauper

    Keep up the excellent work!

  2. So Richard, did this Kurt Kauper made painting with real subject, a photo, do you have any idea ? Cary looks very young, perhaps in his 40's which means it was done in the mid-to-late 1940's if memory serves me right. I believe he was born in England around 1904-1905. Nude male photos were not particularly fashionable in the Post WWII era. RSVP
