I met with 3 doctors today and found that my sickness is worse than I thought: it's cancer. I have been put on the semi-emergency list, and surgery will be at 6:00am on Thursday February 5, New York time.
The cancer is in the top corner of the colon, just under the stomach. The diseased portion of the colon will be removed, and the ends sewn together.
The 2 days of bland food are over--I am now on an IV. The idea of being cut open does not delight me, but it's the only option at this time. I still have a lot of things I want to do in this lifetime.
Many thanks to those of you who have helped support me as Animan these past few years. You will never know how much I appreciate every bit of it!
If I can get my wi-fi to work, I hope to write another update before the operation. If I can't, then please know: everything's going to be all right!

ReplyDeleteI've had 3 surgeries in my life and, I have to tell you, it's not really bad when you're knocked out. You fall asleep and when you wake up, it's all over. You'll be under in about 3 sec once the anesthesia sets in. I'll pray for you. . .

ReplyDeleteI'd like to send you good vibes for a speedy recovery. Being a lapsed catholic, religion may not be "my bag" anymore, but I definitely believe in spirituality and tapping into positive energy. Sort of how the ancient Greeks did to appeal to their gods and goddesses (Animan, see how I'm helping to promote your new upcoming movie?)
So what I propose is this:
I think all of your fans should cull together our most healing "Animan thoughts" in the most "Animan way" possible to infuse you, Animan. By which, I mean, let us spread the "Animan-Spirit" to all the hunky dudes we may meet, and pass along that sexy healing energy to Animan.
The "Animan Spirit" is in the air anytime there is smacking hairy beefy asses, sloppy fingering of said asses, and going to "Pound Town" on those scrumptious butts. Wherever a coach's butt is being pinched, or a tongue is drooling when spying a UPS driver's bulge, that means the "Animan Spirit" abounds there.
So guys, when you're at work in your office or pod, and you spot that cute daddy that always wears his slacks a little too tight, just cup one of his rump cheeks in one of your hands and exclaim, "Wow! Your new work out at the gym is definitely giving you good results. Good job!".
He'll feel a boost of self-esteem, you'll feel good about "helping" Animan recover even faster. He will be filled with all of our sexy 'Animan-esque' vibes and well wishes.
This is all meant in the best humor, Animan. I find sometimes humor gets me through tough situations. Wishing you a speedy recovery :-)
