Animan videos are all done in a different style for many reasons. Each video is meant to be unique, in its own way. Some story situations work better in a different visual style. After spending several months making one video in a certain style, the tendency is to gravitate to an opposite drawing style for the next video. I believe that these are all the same reasons you mentioned! Many of Animan's friends have been requesting an all-star movie, and Animan promised that it would be made this year (which is already half-over). So, it looks as if Animan has his work cut out for him!
Maybe I'm a little obsessive on the detail, but is that the whisky officer's hand that's getting the soldier wet? It is the same tone and just as hairy as the officer in the previous pics. At least the wet soldier seems to be enjoying it!
Speaking of detail, I read the other pose just made about how your style changes slightly in terms of coloration, borders, facial depictions, etc. and it made me curious: how would you integrate all your stars into a single video? Would they all be shown in one unique style, or would you maintain some extent of style diversity as per their debuts had them? Just curious, that's all. I trust that either way, these videos will be just as unique, colorful, playful, and hot enough to make me shoot through the ceiling as ever before!
A lot of these guys have similar skin tone and hairiness. The identity of the guy pouring out the water from the coconut has not been established. But since this is a fantasy, if you imagine that it's the officer's hand, then it IS!
Your question about style differences in an all-star video is a really good one! I have pondered it myself. My solution is to draw the characters in their original style, to the extent that they can harmonize with the other characters. Coach Ben was drawn with very thick lines in School Fantasy, but those lines were thinned down for Big Beach Adventure, so that's the version of Ben I'll go with. I don't really anticipate a big problem, stylistically!
It would be fun to see a video set during the Prohibition. You know, a silent film in black and white. There's something sexy about these times and it could be fun to "read" the moaning and the groaning instead of hearing it. :)
Dear Animan, I am looking forward to this film. As far as an All star movie, I know COACH BEN AND COACH FOKKER will be in it. Will the counselor/life guard from CAMP and BEN"S BEACH ADVENTURE be in it also. What about the Bottom from the TWIST PARTY? I know SUPER HERO will be in it but what about the Black leather bottom be involved also? Just asking. Also for future movies, How about a Super hero themed movie, A Gladiator movie and a Cop ride along movie with the Cop from Super-Hero. :o

Animan's friends send in a lot of ideas for videos, and that's great. I believe that for any video to be good, the viewer should know what the main intention of it is, right away. Is it an action story? Is it the story of friends? Badly-made videos have too many main focuses, and you can't tell what the intention is.
In an Animan video, the point is always about the guys getting it on. That's why I stick more to situations, and not to stories. The video known as "Nooky Man" started out as a request for a Super Hero movie, but that part of it could only go so far, since the guys getting together was supposed to be the main pull of the story. That balance is tricky! I try, but I don't always get it right.
That said, I will keep your suggestions in mind. Who knows what Animan videos will be like in the future? I hope they'll keep getting bigger and better! :D
Thanks, Animan, for the link to the vintage photos. It was mighty educational. I never knew that boys in many high schools and colleges were required to swim nude and even published photos of their swim meets in their yearbooks! There's even websites on the subject and one of the best I've found is: https://sites.google.com/site/historicarchives4maleswimming/home The youtube videos even reference some of the WWII towel and soap ads you recently published! Looking forward to your next video.
