Well, Animan has been pretty secretive with his
newest video--maybe a little TOO secretive. So here is the cast of "Lex Stern M.D.", Animan's newest adventure. It's far from completed, but it'll be finished for sure by March 8. If all goes well, even sooner! For those of you who are curious, all the characters in this video talk--and they don't overdo it, either!
Boy, do I envy Jess for having the biggest, hottest, and if your past videos are any indicator, possibly sluttiest daddy ever. I would not mind a "full physical" from him! Seriously though, my mind is racing with potential scenarios for how these characters are going to play out that it's really going to be tough to wait. But don't ever apologize for any delays in your work, things just happen sometimes. Besides, I'd rather you took your time and put out a real(ly hot) work of art than hurried out something sloppy.
ReplyDeleteI used to watch reruns of "The Donna Reed Show" and fantasize about the dad who was a handsome doctor. I even borrowed the names; Donna became Dinah, Alex Stone became Lex Stern, Mary became Sherri, and Jeff became Jess. I made Jess the older sibling to enhance the uh "possibilities".
DeleteWhen I was little, we did have a milkman named Cliff, and I still remember him. I was pondering what activity a milkman could do with a doctor, and I think I came up with something!

ReplyDeleteThe characters are drawn in black lines--but I wanted some colored lines too, so I did that on the hair colors. It sort of softens the whole look.
DeleteI'm afraid that Cliff the Milkman and Coach Ben ARE NOT relations--but that doesn't mean they haven't HAD relations!
I'm loving the art style! I actually prefer characters drawn in black lines because I'm a big Anime fan. And I like that you used colored lines for their hair. I agree it does soften the whole look. It balances the depth of field to me. P.S.- I'm super excited for this one!!
DeleteBelieve it or not, when Animan is designing and drawing his cartoons, his first thoughts are: 1) What would look retro? 2) What would look fun? 3) Would I want to know these people? 4) What kind of guy is a dreamy type? 5) What sort of look would the viewers want to see? and 6) What would be something that people haven't quite seen before?

All I have to do is animate one more scene, make the trailer, add in the sound effects, re-record voices, write the music, play it and record it, see if I can successfully upload the trailer to GayTube, render out the pieces of video into quick time movie and Windows formats, upload several copies of those to the download site, make a DVD master, answer e-mail, send follow-up e-mails to everybody who buys something, update the blog and make sure I don't forget anything or anyone. Maybe a nap......

aNiMaN is being that secretive in relation to this video cause transmiting the impression that Dr Lex belongs to the "tall dark MISTERIOUS" type will make his character more popular among us kids everywhere.

There is a gentleman at my workplace and he reminded me of someone. For ages I couldn't figure out who it was, until now. Dr Lex! From the neck up, the resemblance is uncanny. From the neck down, well I don't know this guy intimately enough to be able to make a comparison... I'll just imagine he looks just like Lex there too :)
