This time, I'll show you a simple way to use the software to create a speaking character. Just click the links below this picture.
This tutorial is 54 minutes long, and it's all in one piece. It will probably take quite a while to download. But the picture is very clear!
Occasionally, someone will tell me that an Animan cartoon downloaded only partially, and when it hits a certain point, the screen turns black. Long downloading times can cause computers to "time out". Most of the time though, just downloading the file again will solve the problem.
As always, PLEASE be careful downloading--I'm sure you don't want a bunch of invasive cyber garbage flowing into your computer.

Amazing! I saw it to the end :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your voice, is it you? x)
Yes, that's me all right!
DeleteThanks for watching! :)
This was all very fascinating, Animan. I'm no artist myself, but I am the sort of geeky fan who loves behind-the-scenes info like this. Plus, I've said this before, but it really makes me appreciate and respect the sort of talent and work that goes into just making a few seconds of one of your videos. Of course just making somebody talk and blink is much different from making them get plowed! Really looking forward to the end result Animan! no pressure... ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked it! With the software available these days, it's pretty easy to make a character talk. Even so, it took me a while to figure out the way that would work the best for me.
DeleteYou're right about it being different than "a plowing scene"!
I hope to make some more tutorials soon.
Thanks for watching!
Animan,
ReplyDeleteI'm one of the film programmers for a film festival in Southern California and we're interested in speaking with you about submitting one of your shorts to our festival. We love your work! Do you have a professional contact email or something where we can speak further? I discovered your work via CineKink in NYC. I tried emailing you directly through your other account but your email is full. Our deadline is quickly approaching on March 15, 2013. So we'd love to talk with you.
Thank you. Please send me another comment here, but this time include your e-mail address. I will not publish it--but I will use it to contact you.
DeleteAre your An Animan Tutorial files still available?
