Drawing Step by Step
Here's another background I wanted to share. Drawing these cityscapes takes a long time to do. In night scenes, the colors are dark, and there's a lot of trial and error in getting just the right color combinations, to achieve the atmosphere I want. The animated characters have to stand out, and be easy to see. The windows are very important too, because they suggest people out there, and there are lots and lots of windows! A cityscape at night with lighted windows makes us feel the presence of lots of people, but they are people we will never know.
Just a guess, but I predict this video will be done before the end of November. On my last two videos, "Junior College Men's Camp" and "Carmen" I predicted the finish date, and both times I finished earlier than that. So I'm hoping I'll finish early again. As you see, there's a lot of drawing going on--and I want this video to be as exciting as possible. Fortunately, Animan's friends don't mind a little waiting if the video is truly going to be good. I want it to really be worth waiting for (I always say that!)
Mmm, I'm glad to know that your newest production could be available this month. I'm so Eager, but, I'm sure you know you're doing your job of making your fans so heightened with anticipation. ☺
ReplyDeleteIt's always such a long stretch of time, from one video to the next. I want to share what's happening production-wise, but do it in a way that won't spoil the surprise for Animan's friends. When I post these preview pictures, the nice reactions I receive fire me up, and help me to keep on going. It's sort of a two-way street, and the energy keeps going back and forth.

I am a big fan of "Coach Ben" High School Fantasy is one of my favorite! I love that retro look and the music that went with it! I am totally mesmerized by it!! is it too much to wish for another episode of Coach Ben?? I love Coach Ben's nalgas!! :)
