What's This Spanish???

EMERGENCY POSTING

To precede my new video, I also made a non-piracy message. I'm the one speaking Spanish for our South American fans in it.

The language will change for the next video releases. The message comes before the video, but has no connection to it, language-wise.

Unfortunately, as a result of this, I'm getting messages like this:
I went to the Animan Shop to buy it today. I had TONS of trouble with the site (I always do when buying your movies) but I finally got it to go through. After it approved my card it locked up and wouldn't go to the download page. I waited for the confirmation email and clicked the link there to download my zip file. That worked! I downloaded my file. Finally! I was going to get to see your new movie. But... I got the Spanish version?!?! UGH! I need the English version. I'm certain I didn't select the wrong one but I suppose it's possible that after all the failed attempts I clicked the wrong thing. Is there a way for me to get the English wmv version?  I hope you can help. I'm DYING to see the The Sheriff of Lone Gulch!!

Before you send a complaint, please check to see that the movie is indeed in English (the chances are over 99% that it is).

Also, Selz always has trouble when several people all try to buy a video at the same time. I know it sounds corny to say, "please wait and try again", but.......that might be the only option when it's got several fans all at once. I'm very sorry about it.

  1. Hi Animan, I'm impressed by your Spanish, I live and work in Spain but my Spanish is less than schoolboy level, the intro on mine was Spanish, but with sub titles in English, and as I don't buy your films for the dialogue I thought what the heck, Carmen was Spanish, and very enjoyable. Congrats on another winner, well worth the money.
    As aye,
    David

    1. I lived a few years in San Antonion Texas, and there was always more Spanish than English being spoken.
      Thanks for the kind comments.

  2. Keep up the good fight, Animan. Selling stuff online is always a pain. The easier you try to make it for yourself and others, the more the complaints come in it seems. No system is full proof and people want things instantaneously but don't pay attention to the process often. I found it too frustrating and had to take a break from publishing anything. But you're my motivation to get back into the game :-)

    1. How right you are about selling stuff online! At times, it all makes me feel like a rank amateur. It can be pretty humbling.
I hope you will get back into the game, Belasco. Let your light shine. ^_^

  3. I think the attempts at non-piracy have gone a bit too far. I went through the purchasing part but never did get the video because it required setting up an account with selz (or with dropbox). Last time I'm buying your videos, Animan, and I purchased all of the older ones.

    1. I'm sorry to hear that, and I'm upset that you paid for your video but weren't able to receive it as a result.
I was not aware that setting up an account with Selz is required in order to receive a video. As for Dropbox, setting up an account is indeed required. I personally dislike having to register with services in order to receive the benefits of what they offer. I doubt that these are non-piracy measures. Sending stuff through the internet requires the cooperation of these entities, and whether we like it or not, we have to play ball with them.

  4. To Sam H.
Hi Sam. I received your comment:
"speaking of non-piracy, I just googled your name and found these:"
    Thanks for letting me know.
I went to the sites and found that both of them had ripped off my stuff, and that one of them had ALL the Animan films available for free. No wonder my sales have ground to a halt in the past months.

If anyone else finds sites ripping Animan stuff off, please feel free to let me know.
    Thanks very much.
