Happy Summer to You

It's very hot all over the world, and Animan's studio is no exception. My trusty electric fan keeps a gentle breeze blowing, so it's not so unbearable.

Summer is already 1/2 over!  And Carmen has been in production for 5 months now. My biggest hope is that all the extra time and work will be visible on the screen.  I want this to be a good show.....

  1. I'm anticipating this new video so much! You have kept all the sexual stuff out of updates and it's only increasing the desire to see the animation more.

    1. Another reason for the soft-core nature of these posts is that, I want Animan's World to always be here for my friends. I've seen a lot of blogs get terminated for sort of overdoing the super-hardcore pictures and movies. It's all about not "rocking the boat"!

  3. My goodness! You're really bringing out the stops for this one! You're animating a full carriage? Wow O.O

    1. Drawing the body of the carriage was easy.
Then, I drew a wheel perfectly round, made it spin, and then foreshortened it so it would be at the right angle. Then I copied it 3 more times and I had 4 spinning wheels! I had some trouble getting them in the right position, but I finally figured it out. Then I animated the horses. Whew!
The whole thing took 2 days of non-stop drawing, animating and adjusting.

    2. Wow! Animan, you're truly a one man animation team. 2 days is good.

And I know other people are crazy to see the sex in this - I don't care. I know sex will appear but it's so great seeing you take on a project that would have taken a team of 50 or more to do back in the earlier ages of cartoons (with coloring and adjustments and directions and scripting -). And based on an OPERA!

      You're ambition is invigorating!
If I could find a good way to approach more complicated animations I'd be there right along with you. (But whenever I try something goes weird with my tweening. SIGH)

    3. Thanks again Jubell for your encouraging message!

I found a wonderful book for spicing up breakdown drawings and inbetweens."Character Animation Crash Course! by Eric Goldberg". This was written by the guy who animated the genie in Aladdin. It's a fun book, and easy to understand. You might want to check it out!

    2. You are truly amazing and a true artist. All the time and effort you put into this great pieces of artwork, who would have thought Coach Ben would launch you into this amazing ride. I thank you for all the sweat, sleepless nights, tired days and working in the heat to get this out. You have truly spoiled us. I can't wait to see the trailer for this. Again Thank you.

    3. Thank YOU, and all the friends of Animan for being so patient while the animation progresses at its own pace. I don't mind the sweat, and there are no sleepless nights for me, because it's a labor of love. When I can spend the day drawing and animating, I am happily fatigued but never truly tired--I don't even notice the heat because I'm doing what I love!
I am very thankful to the loyal friends of Animan, whose appreciation is like a never-ending fountain of inspiration for me. There can be no artist unless there is an audience. So I thank YOU.
